History
On March 10, 1997, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma's Tribal Council passed a bill to create Choctaw Management Services Enterprise, a contracting firm that is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma - the third largest Indian tribe. CMSE's revenue contributes to the economic development of Southeast Oklahoma and provides jobs for members of the Choctaw Nation and other Native American groups.

Soon after inception, CMSE was granted 8(a) and Small, Disadvantaged Business Certifications from the U.S. Small Business Administration. While the SBA expects businesses to outgrow the 8(a) Program in nine years, CMSE graduated in only seven years, making the enterprise a true SBA success story.

Motto
Serving our clients with honor and integrity. Serving our Nation with pride and distinction.

Philosophy
CMSE provides on-time quality services at reasonable prices to assure client satisfaction.

Operating Principles
1. CMSE believes in establishing partnerships with our clients. We adopt, as our goals and objectives, the goals and objectives of our clients, as expressed in the contract document and as we understand them from close and continuing interaction with the clients' representatives.

2. Our corporate role is to help the client achieve goals and objectives by providing the best people - in effect the best "product" - we possibly can. We hire the best and the brightest available to fulfill contract obligations.

3. Once we have selected and hired qualified personnel who meet our standards of professional and personal performance, we provide them with the best support possible. At a minimum, this support includes a generous salary, a substantial fringe benefits package, quick response to requests for assistance, and intervention in work or personal situations when asked or when contracts dictate. We want our workforce to be personally secure and free of worry, so their productivity in the workplace will be enhanced.

4. CMSE does not tolerate poor performance or questionable behavior. We readily accept our obligation to discipline any employee who is not performing to standard or whose personal behavior disrupts the workplace or discredits our clients or ourselves.

5. We always honor our promises, whether written or verbal, and expect the same level of integrity from our employees.

6. We aren't satisfied with merely being the most recent in a long line of service vendors. Instead, we strive to be the vendor of choice for our clients - now and in the future.
