Family Practice Physician Full-time positions available for the Primary/Family Care and Urgent Care Clinics, Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital (BJACH), Fort Polk, Louisiana. Positions require all licensing/certification requirements to perform as a Family Practice Physician, must be Family Practice residency trained or board eligible/certified in this specialty. American Board of Medical Specialties must recognize any board certification. Graduates of foreign medical schools are required to possess both a medical license and other certification by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) or 5th Pathway. Physicians shall have and maintain current Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). Hold a Doctor of Medicine degree (M.D.) from an accredited college approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association, or Doctor of Osteopathy degree (D.O.) from a college accredited by the American Osteopathic Association. Possess and maintain a current license to practice as a Physician from one of the states or jurisdictions of the United States, and comply with any applicable state laws concerning their profession. A minimum of two years experience practicing medicine as a Family Practice Physician within the last five years. Time spent in a residency program may be used to satisfy part or all of this requirement. (or any such variation of required experience). Possess and maintain current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration number. Be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to effectively communicate with all patients and other health care providers.
